Alexander Wang is always down to invite his celeb friends out for wild nights in L.A. and NYC. His most recent rager included Zoe Kravitz, A$AP Ferg, Tinashe, Vince Staples, Metro Boomin’ — and some bangin’ models in a Beverly Hills mansion. As RL Grime’s song “King Pin,” featuring Big Sean, blasted from the speakers the crew partied it up in videos for Wang’s Fall collection.
Director X had this to say about Wang:
“Alexander Wang is Alexander Wang,” he says. “He’s right in the culture. He’s in the lexicon.” The sheer number of celebs involved in the project made it a logistical puzzle and gave the set a different vibe than X had experienced during the filming of music videos he’s directed in the past. “As far as the shoot goes, it was kind of normal—as normal as you can get with Alex and his friends and his models,” he says. “He’s a character. His friends are characters. The banter was different. They’re an interesting bunch. It wasn’t as down to business as most shoots are.”
